looks to me like this girl is trash….I don’t see how she can keep her job.  how can anyone say that wasn’t responsible for this unfortunate death. you know if she wasn’t a sheriff’s deputy I bet she would have already been charged with murder !!!

Thank you Dennis for your honest heart-felt response.

Lord have mercy, Dennis’s statement has been changed by someone who is managing this site - yet, the real document has been saved and photographed. Shame Shame shame - manipulating peoples words for your own benefit. This comment and all others done by Support Michelle will be documented and photgraphed before being sent

“Sara” the truth will come out and so will all the sin you have committed. People don’t you think the time has come to purge our community of people like this and her supporters!!!!!!!!!!!

I think she’s being very childish about the whole thing. If she’s so innocent, why isn’t she just admitting it’s her talking trash on here. I think if I were so innocent I would BE MYSELF and try to defend myself.

To : The family of Stacey, I know just how heavy your hearts must be for your loss. Also for Barbara loseing a child at any age is teriible. I knew Stacey, the fact of the matter is I spoke with him the morning of the day he passed. He was a very nice guy, quite, shy, meek, careing, a person that loved life and showed it in his actions.
I know that he was cetainly a great step father to the child of his wife, I witnessed that myself he tried always set a good excample for him and did so many things for him.
But the truth of of things is that his marriage was beyond repair, and the fact is deep inside he knew it and just could not manage to fiqure how to mend or corrcet it. Looking from the outside in it he appeared in the last months to be very sad and depressed. I really felt for him, I knew more than he ever thought I did but it was not my place or business to say anything about it.
I remember all so well that cold, cold, November night getting the call of his death. You see I was outdoors that evening myself and I can respect just how fridged it really was. I said then, and and still do something about that just does not make since.
I have owned inground pools myself, in the past and for me to realize he was waliking close enough to the edge, to have fallen in? Well that just does not add up. I have asked that question over and over to myself just how could this have happened even if he needed medication, I just cannot imiagine.
I went to his wake, I felt so terrible for you his blood family standing there having to indure such a tragic loss, I was lost for words of just what to say to each of you as I past through. I truly hated it for him, and you, there lied a young man that should have continued a full and happy life.
I am wrighting to let you all know, that I certainly cannot speculate of just what happened that cold November night, but it should be excamined over and over again. Stacey was a young man, full of life he deserves that. You all are doing the right thing I beleive that there has not been nearly enough done for his justice.
I commend you for bringing suite against Pitt County to find out what happened to your loved one. I will continue to follow your site daily and review post. Good Luck to each of you and God Bless you.

It is a shame that we witnessing a civil suit brought forth to correct a wrong that should have been handled by the criminal division of the courts 2 years ago. We all know how this is going to end, Sherriff Manning, please end it now before we become fodder for CNN, Fox News, and every other station out there. I really would like to know where the D.A. was on this, and how heavily he was influenced by the sherriff

The following email was sent to Pitt County Commissioners tonight:

    Dear Pitt County Commissioners,

Please review this website and, from the comments, you will see how desperate we citizens are for justice in this important case.

    JUSTICE4STACEY.COM

Stacey Pollard’s mother, Barbara, and his sisters and their families are good, law-abiding North Carolina citizens. Why must this grieving family continue to be victimized by unethical law-enforcement personnel and unanswered questions concerning the death of their loved one? How can this nightmare be happening in North Carolina?

This story is not being reported by local (Pitt County) news media; why not? It has been forwarded to national media by many people who feel that justice will not be done if the story doesn’t receive national attention.

The NC Department of Justice (which includes the SBI) website states: “The State Bureau of Investigation works with local law enforcement to investigate crimes. The North Carolina Justice Academy provides training for local law enforcement officers. The Department of Justice also oversees standards for officers through the Sheriffs’ Standards Training Commission and the Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.” Are there standards in place for the Pitt County Sheriff and his sworn officers? If so, PLEASE tell us why Mac Manning and Michelle Pollard are not on leave until a thorough investigation is conducted (and not by the fox who is watching the henhouse)? There are too many unanswered questions (and questionable answers) for them to still be in office. They cannot be effective law enforcement officers.

Is anything going to be done or are all of our county officials in the same pile? Voting day will come again. You promised to help the citizens, not to be supportive of questionable Pitt County officials. Pitt County citizens deserve to know whether anything is being done to bring about justice or if our elected officials and the local media are adopting the mindset that if everyone is quiet about this case, it will just go away. IT WILL NOT. I hope some of you will have the integrity to speak out on this. So many people are watching and reading the local news daily in the hope that one moral official will speak publicly about the botching of this case.

A Pitt County Citizen and Voter
