Comments on Videos — Do you think she is appropriate for Internal Affairs?
(Updated 7/31st) First, we, the family of Stacey, are kind of new to this whole website thing and we couldn’t figure out how to put a place to make comments after viewing the videos. So please make any comments you may have about the videos after this post. As of Monday over 6300 different people have viewed the website. 2261 viewed yesterday and over 25,000 pages have been viewed total.
Second, we would like your comments about Sheriff Manning sending Lt. Pollard to “Internal Affairs” school. We have been able to confirm that in the past 3 weeks that Michelle attended the training. For those who do not know, an internal affairs officer is responsible for investigating and recommending punishment for other deputies accused of wrongdoing (from committing crimes to plain unethical conduct). Please tell us after viewing the videos if you think she should be in that position?
Third, as for the videos themselves:
a. the video at the motel is of Michelle and Ray Thompson(a convicted felon). It was filmed by private detectives hired by Ray’s wife. It is taken about 40 days after Stacey was buried and was fimed at the Comfort Inn in Havelock (Michelle and Ray lived about a mile apart in Grimesland at the time). The Pollard family did not know of its existence until months afterward. Ray’s wife tried to give a copy of this to the SBI but they wouldn’t take it.
b. For those of you who may have watched the entire press conference by Sheriff Manning on WNCT.com, you may recall him talking about the “anonymous caller on New Years Eve… and that [Manning] determined it to be a false call … by someone put up to it the by the Pollard family.” Honestly, until the press conference the Pollard family did not know the identity of the caller. We do now. His name is Marvin Cox and he told us that on the “anonymous call” he also said the Michelle was coming out of a hotel room in Havelock with a married man. Since the video was made the same day that Mr. Cox called HOW IS IT THAT SHERIFF MANNING DETERMINED IT TO BE A FALSE CALL? At the time, Mr. Cox was dating Ray Thompson’s mother. Our information is that Michelle and Ray identified the caller and that they were involved in the statement “signed” by Mr. Cox — who says he can not read or write and really doesn’t know what he signed. Again, this video and its context are important, we feel, for you to know that this isn’t just a character assassination of Michelle. Sheriff Manning did not give any of the information about the caller to his own lead investigator or the SBI. What do you think about that?
c. The video of Michelle sitting in the truck talking vulgar was filmed by her own 14 year old son. The man on the video is Ray Thompson, who is also the person who filmed the “dancing” video. It is taken about a week after Stacey died and the location is in the backyard of Ray’s house. When his wife picked up the camera and saw what was on it she hired the private investigators who took the motel video.
d. The “dancing” video is important for several reasons. Yes of course it is intended to show you just what kind of character she has, but it truly is important to the case. Michelle told everyone that she and Stacey had a “perfect marriage.” This video was taken about 2 months before Stacey died. Does it look like a perfect marriage? Do you doubt that she really had 3-way sex the night Stacey was buried after seeing that video?
Folks, we wish we didn’t have to do this. But it appears to be working. The authorities appear to be investigating the matter now for the first time. Please ask yourself why it is that none of the law enforcement agencies have copies of these videos that we would love for them to have. The family’s attorney had to give Marvin Cox’s phone number to the SBI because according to the SBI agent he “knew Mac wouldn’t give it to him.” Do you know that Michelle hired an attorney, Cherry Stokes, after she flunked the lie detector last June? Neither did the family until a week ago and the reason is that it was not noted in the SBI investigative file. Why didn’t Sheriff Manning tell you the whole story and why is it that the News & Observer gives better coverage of the story that our local news outlets??
We can’t control the press and we don’t have the backing of the Sheriffs Department or, it would appear, the SBI. Therefore, we rely on you. Please tell our story. Even if you don’t believe that she killed Stacey, does it look like anyone really tried to find out what happened that night? Everyone involved but the family has a copy of the SBI file — including Michelle and the lawyers for all the defendants. However, Joanne Burgdorff, the County Attorney, wrote in response to a public records request that the Sheriffs Department had no such records. Even though District Attorney Clark Everett gave it to Sheriff Manning twice. Also, Joanne Burgdorff said in response to a public records request asking how much taxpayer money is being spent defending all this, that no such records exist. From that are we to assume that these lawyers are working for free? A former County Commissioner tells us that Burgdorff said the lawyers were on retainer. Shouldn’t that be a public record? Don’t you have a right to know?
We have approved several comments (thank you for having the courage to make comments and yes we will protect your identity) and yes we continue to get the threatening emails from Michelle through the anonymous email addresses. She had started sending them from other computers now and apparently thinks that they can’t be traced. One commentor looked up the IP address and if you go to their website you will see that Pitt County government is one of their clients. There is actually another internet service that puts a pin on a map to show that physical location of the server. Anyway, she uses the fake names Sara and Tom and sometimes she just pretends to forward emails from other people. Wouldn’t you think someone would investigate her for witness intimidation? Pls ask someone — as a commentor did — why it is that the agency that is supposed to be protecting us has a person like this who is able to use county resources and the power of the Sheriffs Office to continue her criminal conduct?

I think the videos are being taken out of context, furthermore, the videos are an invasion of Michelles Privacy and the person who has the camera and tape have withheld them from a 15 year old child. The camera belongs to a child and has not been given back to him. I suppose that the people who are invading Michelles privacy need to clean their own closets. There are incriminating pictures of them as well. However, Michelle has not produced them and published them - it may become necessary at somepoint that she mass produce them - considering the people who are slandering her are the same people in the pictures showing their “private parts”. Something to think about.

Readers, thought you might like to know that Michelle is sending nasty emails to this website under anonymous email addresses that end with “mypacks.net.” She is sending them from the sheriff’s department and we know this because the emails are from IP address 204.85.8.158. She apparently did not know that you can go to WHOIS IP and trace ip addresses back to the computer server and ultimately back to the desktop computer that the email was sent from. She has sent about a dozen so far under different names like Tom and Sara. We even put a few on the site to encourage her to send more. It worked. We haven’t put all of them up because she threatens to sue the writers of other comments and she talks so ugly about Barbara Pollard. Of course she threatens to sue the Pollards and their attorney almost daily. Please ask someone at the County Commissioners Office if it isn’t a violation of policy for her to use county property for her own purposes and during regular business hours. You would think that a Lt. would be a better investigator than to leave such obvious evidence of witness intimidation, but I guess she thinks that she has gotten away with such misconduct for so long that she is untouchable. Is this what our tax dollars go for?
By the way do you know that her position was created just for her. Her current position was changed from a regular deputy (of which we could use a few more ) to a Lt. and the position was never advertised.
Again another good use of our tax dollars!!!!

I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE M POLLARD WAS NOT AT WORK TODAY. SO YOUR ACCUSATION OF IT BEING PITT COUNTY OFFICES AND OUR TAX DOLLARS IS WRONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG AGAINNNNNNNNN..SHE IS ON A VACATION DAY . I CALLED TO CONFIRM WHAT I ALREADY KNEW WASTING MY OWN MONEY ON A LONG DISTANCE CALL..IP ADDRESS MY TAIL. AS I SAID BEFORE GET YOUR INFO STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU SPOUT OFF GARBAGE. This video really sets an example for her child and it also tells me that the sheriff’s office doesn’t really care how there officer’s act even off duty when I have always been told by other older officers that you are never really off duty and you must act accordingly. It really looks as if she is trying to hide alot and now it is coming to the surface.

Well another attempt to cause more issues than need be. This sounds more and more everyday like a gosssip blood bath and very personal. David sutton cannot be byast to this situation for various reasons. the muidslinging needs to stop. The Kennedy family as we all know had behaviors that were questioned and still being questions years and years latter..I can almost bet that all the gosssipers behaviors in their private life could write a book as well. M Pollard behaviors in her personal life do not have bearing on this. The videos are taken out on context and the whole truth has not been put out there only what appeals the public. WHY HASN’T MICHELLE POLLARD BEEN FIRED? Everybody is thinking it and everyone knows that many others have been fired for far less. Whose job is that? Why don’t you ask him??? The Pollard family asked him that question and the Sheriff replied that Michelle was a “hard working deputy.” He also said, “it was SLANDEROUS” to say that Michelle had had affairs with deputies. At his press conference he said she had done nothing wrong and there was nothing to the suit. In other conversations he has said that the suit is nothing but “rumor and innuendo.” Why has he gone to the mat for Michelle when everyone outside her immediate family thinks she should be fired — at a minimum. WHY DOESN’T THE LOCAL PRESS ASK HIM?

Just want to say thank you for the 2,700-plus different people who logged onto the site yesterday. Over 10,000 pages on the website were viewed yesterday alone. We also thank the people who are answering the family’s call to come forward with information. And yes we have even more visual displays of Michelle but the family does not want this site to just be about Michelle. It is about Justice 4 Stacey!!!

After viewing the videos, it makes me nearly sick to think that THIS is the kind of law enforcement officers we as the public are paying to protect us. She hangs out with sex offenders, one of who was “wanted” for several months after evading the law (guess they should have looked at Michelle’s house), and associates (dates) FELONS. Is this the same Mac Manning that would FIRE an officer if he found out the officer was living with a girlfriend or boyfriend, because its “unethical”? But he’ll let a white trash floozy be promoted up the ranks, ignore the fact that she was OBVIOUSLY responsible for KILLING SOMEONE!!!! MY GOD!!! We should be DEMANDING his resignation! Thank you to Mrs. Pollard and her attorney for shedding the light on the “good-old boy” mentality and corruptness of the PCSO.

First, I would like to say that my heart goes out to the family of Depty. Stacey Pollard. Second, the video with her and the other woman is not a 15 year old. You can tell that by his voice in the back ground of the tape. Also the one at the Hotel, he was in plain site when they came out of the room. As far as a 15 year old child, what in the world is a 15 year old being there to see this kind of act going on? Just passing the buck. The people that are suppose to be protecting us is harming us. There are Deputies that have gotten minor’s drunk, taking advantage of them and are still on the force. Read the papers people. This act is going on all the time. How can she drag him out of the water during a boating trip and help him but she cant pull him out of a pool? My heart goes out to his family and mother. You have lost someone special to you and I know that it hurts. But know that he is looking down from Heaven at you. I don’t trust the ones that are to protect us at all. I know a few of them and they are dishonest. God, watch over his family and protect them from harm’s way.

Anyone else that is being investigated would be put on leave. Why hasnt she? Not only that but how is it that someone who worked as a depty. skip being Serg. and move straight to Lt. Something is funny there. Also it states in the video that she is saying for $5,000 she would sleep with someone. I thought there was a conduct for the Sherriff’s office. She has differenlt broken that. I think the news channel’s should get a look into this. Manning is not protecting us (the citizens) as he should.

I think Manning needs to look at the “Code of Conduct” on this one and maybe even question himself. WAKE UP People !!!!!!

I think this is typical of most police forces. They work late at night and then have 3 days off in a row so, that’s how they spend their time. I don’t think this woman should be given the job of wiping peoples asses. She doesn’t deserve anything but bad luck, and to give restitution to the family of Stacey. People like her are the ones that give the police and sheriffs office a bad name. I wouldn’t touch her with a 10 ft pole for $1,000,000.00. She probably has funk of the lu-lu any way

I just do not know what to think so correct me if I am wrong….We now have actual film footage of a Pitt County officer stating it takes $5000 cash on delivery, no checks or credit card, to tag her, so is that not an offer of prostitution, and to my knowledge, in the State of North Carolina, is prostitution not still considered a crime? If so, why in God’s sake, and those of Pitt County, has this woman at the very least not been fired!!
It is absolutely amazing to me that Mac Manning has every opportunity since the inception of this lawsuit to step up to the plate, be a man, and admit he led a botched investigation, meanwhile offering his full cooperation from this point forward into the investigation of this crime. He should have also distanced himself as far away as possible from this harlot instead of defending her to the media!! If he had done this, then maybe, just maybe, it would have allowed him to leave the office he holds with some sense of having done the very thing he was hired to do - protect and serve. From what I am reading it seems the only one he is protecting, and servicing is Michelle. Am I wrong here people?

It is a shame that we witnessing a civil suit brought forth to correct a wrong that should have been handled by the criminal division of the courts 2 years ago. We all know how this is going to end, Sherriff Manning, please end it now before we become fodder for CNN, Fox News, and every other station out there. He is protecting her, but just keep in mind that not all of the people at the Sheriff’s office are protecting her. A lot of the people there are doing their jobs and helping the people of Pitt County. With that being said, please remember that the people who are doing wrong are the sheriff, M. Pollard. There were others, but I can’t make a list that long and not all of them work at the sheriff’s office if you know what I mean.

I just want to say that remember this is justice 4 stacey, which in turn is his family and all the people that were so blessed to have him cross their path. We as a community need to stand behind what we believe. My thoughts and prayers go out to B Pollard and the entire family. I can tell you this much it will be over soon and justice will prevail. P.S. If you are a praying person remember the family in your prayers and READ PSALMS 92. Thanks to the brave people that have spoken out to help and to TELL THE TRUTH. God will richly bless you.

I cannot believe what I saw. I feel like some of the others…where do you draw the line when an employee of the Pitt Co sheriffs dept act out of the code of conduct. I have NO respect for Mac Manning. He will NOT get my vote or my family’s vote. This is ridiculous!!!!! Citizens of this county should step up and demand he STEP DOWN as Sheriff of Pitt County. How can that department concentrate on the important things in this community when they have a circus like this going on within their own department. Michelle and Mac need to go work elsewhere!!!

Don’t you think we should let them know about this and see if they can help. Also www.cbsnews.com will bring up the cbs news website and go to 48hours mystery and send some info to them. If anyone has other e-mail addresses to the media please share them with the others in this fight for justice. Please remember the Pollard family and the lawyers family in prayers on this journey. PS What is done in the dark will come to the LIGHT!!!! and we will find our Easter eggs in August.

I have some comments about the video of Michelle and Ray chatting. Where is this guy at, has he been questioned? If this was only taken about a week after the death…. maybe he knows something. He seems very interested in the tire being blown up. And I read on that he is the same guy that filmed the dancing video. ???????? Do we have someone that could have helped her, and he was the same guy that was coming out of the hotel with her just 40 days after Stacey Pollard death. UH UH If you ask me this is plain and simple. This is the oldest motive in the book.

I also emailed ‘Nancy Grace”. I hope to hear back from one of her people soon. She would ask the TOUGH questions that our local media doesn’t have the balls to ask. And I think I will take a few hours to email to every investigative journalist I can think of. The more it gets out, the more likely something will be done. These crooks need to be OUT OF OFFICE!!!!

I think the videos and pictures play a role but they certainly are NOT the evidence that she killed her husband.
That evidence is in her differing statements, failure to perform CPR, failed lie detector, inapprorpiate actions before and after Mr. Pollard’s death and the abbrasions found on Mr. Pollards face.
Seeing how all of Michelle’s “Johns” are taking up for her and helping her cover this only adds to the story. The fact is that HER ACTIONS leading up to, during and after Stacey’s death is why she should be charged with the crime.
On a lighter note, what’s with all the bad spelling and grammar in Michelle’s comments? You’d think such an intelligent, educated person who rose so quickly within the ranks of law enforcement would have better English skills
Mac’s done now. He’ll be voted out and all of the people Michelle had “special relations” will be fired by the new administration. I can’t wait.

I am curious to know what was Ray Thompson convicted of? How can a Sheriff keep someone employeed, who is supposed to uphold the law and protect citizens, while she is out in the public conducting herself in this manner as the videos portray. There is definitely something fishy going on in that office. I hope the Pollard family finds justice and peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
