Anonymous Tip Line — 252-551-2675 — up later today
The phone company says the message line (252-551-2675)should be up and running this afternoon. If you want to leave info anonymously, we will respect that desire. There is no phone to answer. It is a message line with voicemail but of course we will have to listen to it to retrieve the messages. If you want to leave your name and contact infor– especially for the $5,000.00 reward — that is perfectly fine as well. We do ask that you take this serious as someone will have to take their time to listen to it and we don’t have unlimited financial resources.
We know that many people are afraid of losing their jobs for giving us info. That is sad since all the Pollard family ever wanted — and still wants — is for the truth about Stacey’s death to be determined after a thorough investigation by an unbiased agency. Given that “more” people than not thought it was fishy all along, it doesn’t seem like too much to ask.
However, we just found out this week that soon after Michelle Pollard (is she still working?? not in the office today but she radio’d in) flunked the lie detector (last June 8, 2006) and changed her story, that Mac Manning requested a meeting with our DA and the SBI. At that meeting, Mac was told that Michelle flunked her lie detector and announced — according to our sources — that Michelle had dreamed her second story. However, no reference to this meeting is contained within the SBI report, nor was the email that Michelle later typed herself and sent to a fellow deputy who forwarded it the SBI stating that she thinks she “dreamed” pushing him into the pool. If you can keep up with all this — I know it is hard to stand on shifting sand — her reason for giving the second story (after she flunked the lie detector) was that she didn’t want her son to think she had anything to do with Stacey’s death. That’s in the SBI report and her story (both of them) are in her own handwriting [i.e. this is not some confession someone typed up and got her to sign under duress]. Apparently, her “dream” came during the 15 minutes or so that she took a cigarette break after being told that she flunked the lie detector because that is when she came back inside the building and wrote that she pushed Stacey in the pool as a joke. That’s also in the SBI report. Again, there is no reference anywhere in the SBI report to either Manning’s statement about the dream nor the missing dream email. Nor was the family told about either event officially. The family was not even told about the flunked lie detector and her changed story until 2007. Remember, Stacey died November 18, 2005. Mac and Michelle have copies of the SBI report — even though our county attorney says they don’t have it in response to a public records request. However, Ms. Pollard can not have a copy.
Incredibly, it gets better. The SBI report also contains the statement of Glenn Brock that he and his girlfriend were in bed with Michelle on the night that Stacey was buried. Again just this week we found out that Mac told our DA that Mac was trying to get Michelle to file rape charges against Glenn Brock because Michelle told Mac that they all tried to rape her. Again, according to our sources, this allegation was made to Mac last summer and repeated to our DA by Mac sometime later last year. Again, this is difficult to follow — and ask yourself why that is — but the Pollard family was told by our local officials that Glenn Brock had no credibility and therefore his statement was not to be believed. The Pollard family was not told about Mac’s statements that he was trying to get Michelle to file rape charges until this week. Well-l-l-l, if Mac says he was trying to get Michelle to file rape charges, doesn’t that confirm Glenn Brock’s statement that he and his girlfriend were in bed with Michelle? I mean he couldn’t have tried to rape her from a passing car could he? So what if he’s not a “credible witness.” There are at least six people who can and have confirmed the story. You should also know that Michelle personally selected Glenn Brock as a pallbearer and stated that her purpose in doing so was to prove to everyone at the Sheriff’s Dept. that they were wrong about Glenn Brock and that he was not guilty of the crimes for which is a registered sex offender. Make no mistake, no charges were filed because the “rape cry” was just another in a long line of lies by Michelle Pollard and apparently everyone knew it back then — except the family and the investigating officer.
Because the local press has chosen not to cover this story the Pollard family had no choice but to go directly to you through this website. A local radio personality said that he couldn’t put the family’s lawyer on the air (but did put a county commissioner on wherein this case was compared to the Duke lacrosse case); Channel 9 has given it very little coverage (but put Manning’s 20 minute slanderous press conference on their website for several weeks – betcha they won’t follow up on the info that he has been going to her house) and the Daily Reflector won’t mention it although it is by far the most common topic on their message blog. Only the News & Observer has given this story any real coverage and they are the only agency to even ask to speak to the Pollard family. Draw your own conclusions about why it is that the USA Today covers the story but our local media sits idle.
Rather than complain, the Pollard family did what it could to let you know what is going on for the purpose of getting witnesses to come forward and getting to the truth. We think we are getting close. Some real investigation is finally being done and people are seeing the facts and following their consciences by coming forward where only a few timid souls did before this website got going. God Bless the individuals with the courage and fortitude to do the right thing and thanks to the rest of you for simply spreading Stacey’s story.
Last, we would like for you to read 2 emails that were posted on the Daily Reflector website last week. I do not know the identity of the writer (though an “sc” also sends emails to this site with the address babydol1968@yahoo.com if anyone would like to ask her), only that they were posted there after our post about Mac working undercover at Pond Lane.

Who cares “IF” manning was at her house. They do work on the CIT training and besides that it was stated 5 to 8 times seen ,that means someone doesn’t really have the rt info thats a big stretch of how many times. The reason from what I am assuming and i could be wrong about why it hasn’t been covered by certain papers or media is cuz the corenors and toxicology reports speak for themselves and smart people aren’t going to get involved knowing all the garbage written so far is idle gossip and assumption. If you leak the facts in a case , any case you ruin the investigation. The public will soon enough be aware of the facts. I agree on the medicine thing I was privy to stacey not taking his meds as well. His own mother also knows that as well.
oh my By sc
Is it a crime to be friends outside work or work at home? I know i work on nursing projects and inservices at home with my boss ( DON ) over for coffee and work. This all has gone wayyyyyyyyy too far.
What does it sound like the writer is saying about Mac being at Michelle’s house? Interesting, huh???

Isn’t “SC” Michelle Pollard’s sister, Sherri? On her myspace page it says her b-day is 1968 and she uses name with babydoll in it too. Didn’t she just move to Michigan and isn’t she the one that Michelle says she was instant messaging before she found Stacey in her first version. By the way you should see the letter Michelle Pollard sent to Tom Coulson, County Commissioner when she sought the zoning variance. It says that she and her sister Sherri had an unusual childhood to say the least and to say the most it explains her sexual behaviors and her amorality.

It is a crime to present my email addy. It doesnt post on my yahoo at my request and this site here says it will not post so you my friend have done yet another dirty deed a illegal one. I have posted on here several times and using my real name but you chose not to post what i wrote as to not taint B pollard and her mission. it also shows to anyone after using such nastyness about ones supposid childhood for you to be nothing but trash. As for the statements of Manning. you took what i wrote out of context here, i was simply making a statement a hypithetical one. Do you people see what we mean when we say there are untruths. This is someone just writting to get your attn. throw in a few important names and words that appear to be facts my goodness.yeah he got mine but out of anger to the lengths they will go. Do not read into it all his it is just trash.

As sherlock thought, babydol1968@yahoo.com is an email address belonging to Michelle Pollard’s sister as she uses her name, Sherri, and the same email address in the comment above. IT IS NOT A CRIME TO POST EMAIL ADDRESSES. However, on reading the Daily Reflector blogs and this email it is my suspicion that since Michelle got caught using her PCSO computer to send emails, she is now using her sister’s email accounts from her home computer or some other local location. You know she wasn’t at work so apparently she was on the computer somewhere. Once again, the super sleuth doesn’t seem to know that we can track the internet path of the email and see that it didn’t come from Michigan where her sister supposedly lives. So for those of you that read the Daily Reflector blog — if you haven’t figured it our yet most of the emails are from Michelle, her sister (or Michelle pretending to be her sister), the sister’s fiancee (or Michelle pretending to be the fiancee) and maybe her accomplices.

Saw this on the Reflector website. Don’t know who this is but wish you had been investigating the case. We wouldn’t be here now I suspect.
objective investigation By Erin
If an individual is pushed into a lake and dies as a result, drowning is typically listed as the cause of death. But if done intentionally, it is murder as well. If done negligently or recklessly, it is manslaughter. If an individual is strangled, the cause of death is affixation. If it was done intentionally, it is also murder. Stating that the cause of death is drowning does not automatically rule out murder or manslaughter. The question is why did the individual drown? Could he not swim? Was he knocked unconscious? Was he pushed? Was he held underwater? What was the individual doing in a pool fully clothed in the dead of winter?
One does not need evidence or facts to raise the questions. These questions are raised by the circumstances surrounding the death. Through investigation of these questions concerning the death, facts are discovered in the form of evidence. It is not the other way around. One does not come into possession of evidence then ask questions.
The mere fact that a healthy adult male in his 30s is dead gives cause for investigation surrounding the death. The fact that a fully clothed adult man was in a shallow backyard pool in the dead winter raises concern. What was he doing there? How did he get there? Are there abrasions or contusions about his body indicating a possible fall, having been pushed or having been held underwater? Have any injuries to the body been analyzed in order to ascertain how they were sustained? If present, are the injuries consistent with having fallen and striking an area of the pool during the fall or are they consistent with having been knocked on the head or held underwater? If there are no injuries, is that consistent with having fallen accidentally into shallow water or having been pushed? If he fell, why did he not immediately stand upright and walk out of the pool? There are many questions which a cause of death of drowning doesn’t answer.
Further, if the spouse of a healthy male who dies suddenly of unnatural causes is in law enforcement, then another agency, besides the one to which the spouse belongs, must be called in. Even if an investigation by an outside agency reveals no foul play, the fact that the investigation was conducted by an outside agency lends credibility to the outcome of that investigation. If protocols were not followed and an outside agency not called in, then something went wrong. In the very least, any law enforcement agency which employs a spouse of a healthy adult who suddenly dies of unnatural causes would want the appearance of propriety and proper protocol observed. Otherwise, the result is the scandal that has developed here. Objectivity requires that a law enforcement agency investigate itself and expect the public to lend credibility to its result. It is fundamental checks and balances. One cannot expect any agency to police itself.
The responsibility for this scandal, whether or not a crime was committed, lies solely on the shoulders of the Pitt County Sheriffs Department. All of the questions, concern, allegations and accusations could have been avoided by simply calling in the SBI or any outside law enforcement agency to investigate the untimely death of a spouse of a member of the sheriffs department. The objectivity of a third party was all that was required to have prevented this scandal. Had the sheriffs department had nothing to hide, one would expect that they would welcome the involvement of the SBI in order to establish that fact. Obviously, it is not too late. Some late cooperation to resolve the mounting questions raised is better than no cooperation.
If scandal and intrigue has taken over, the only way to combat it is with truth and transparency.
What is most alarming is when arguments are made that the matter must be immediately resolved and forgotten, for whatever reason, weakest of which is the cost of an investigation. Continued attempts to thwart transparency raise even more concern rather than dissolve it.
When someone’s life is lost, his civil rights require that the local community provide a proper investigation through an objective and qualified law enforcement agency. Claims that such an investigation has occurred by the very agency which alleges to have performed it are lent credibility when those claims can be verified and/or duplicated by an objective outside agency, such as the SBI. When that occurs, then those who choose to reject those claims are considerably more at risk to be considered conspiracy theorists. But until that time, the questions and concern now being voiced seem to be all that is protecting the deceased civil rights.
What is disheartening is that in having been distracted by the behavior of the surviving spouse, many in the community have overlooked the victim. None of the actions of the surviving spouse seem at all relevant, except where they concern the investigation directly, to resolving the most pressing issue of what exactly happened to the victim. If an objective, third party investigation into the victim’s death reveals a purely accidental drowning, then what the surviving spouse does or says or writes or who she does or says or writes it with have any consequence. With all our preoccupation with justice, we risk overlooking for whom the justice is required.
The question is what happened to Stacey Pollard. That question cannot be answered by conjecture on bulletin boards or demands for “facts” by laypeople. It can only be answered by a qualified, objective investigation by an outside law enforcement agency. I would hope that all of us who have known the unnatural pain of burying a child or who know or love someone who is familiar with that pain would demand that investigation be performed if only to put at rest some of the lingering questions of a grieving loved one.
With that said, allow me to add that I may be one of the most removed individuals from this case. I know no one involved. I currently live thousands of miles away. As it is said, “About as far away as you can live and still be American.” But, I do know Pitt County and fear that this scandal may become a stain on its national reputation

Erin,
Thank you for your unbiased opinion. It seems you have a good grasp of the law and how it should work. Tis a shame you are not here, sounds like you would make for a good replacement of the Pitt County sheriff. You stated it is obviously not too late. Which third party entity can investigate now. What is going on when the DA, Sheriff and the investigator for the SBI meet privately. Why has Lt. Pollard been allowed to study the SBI report when she was the subject of the investigation, especially when she admitted to pushing her husband into an outside pool with the air temp of approx. 38 degrees. Is there collusion here. Apparently information has been omitted from their investigations that has recently surfaced. Why? How can a journalist from our capital paper ruffle so many feathers with just a few questions. What else is there to this? Is this deeper than we expect? Will it take national attention to get to the truth? Or will national attention uncover a much larger wrong than we are speculating on here? Only time will tell. From what I hearing, sooner than later.

Very impressive message from unknown person and to wrap it all up in a nutshell
its quite simple—there is too many unanswer questions in the death of Stacey and
the actions of the PCSO!! As far as her personal life, well she is a sworn in officer
of the law and with that commitent you are observed by the citzens of your county.
Whether on duty or not you are to uphold good moral behavior. In my opinion the
way a person lives there personal life is what tells you about the true person.
Michelle Pollard true colors are just beginning to come out for the public eye to see
and i would not think she falls in the caterory of good morals. Its a real disgrace to
see and know that someone like that would be the one who i am suppose to trust
to protect me. If National coverage is what it takes then i’m all for it. The family has
a right to find closure on all these unanswered questions.

It is amazing how much gossip about this lawsuit is published on the reflector.com.
One thing for sure is it is getting attention!!! Whether in support or not. SC is giving
her self away with all the personal info she seems to know. Justice4stacey is the
most commented topic on the site!! They want us to go away but we will not stop
until some answers are given. I also use a different name on that website and i
have recieved alot of feedback which has been hard to swallow but i will not rest
until this lawsuit has gotten the attention and support it deserves. With all the
emails that the commissioners have recieved i pray they will finally demand
answers!!!!!!!

I would like to know how one person pushes another in a pool filled with frigid mid-November water, the person pushed in the pool dies minutes later, and the person that pushed victim in is not liable??!! Of at least negligent.
August 21st, 2007 at 12:37 pm
Lisa, I am with you!!!! Don’t stop until we have justice. I hope the commissioners had some serious soul searching last night and did the correct thing for this county. The guilt monkey has speaks first. The old saying is give enough rope they will hang themselves. Just like the letter MP wrote to the county commissioners giving her past to try to get the zone board to rezone some land she was purchasing changed to commerical. That was no relation to the zone board and they didn’t need that information to make there decision. They did what was right and protected the people of Pitt County and their homes. But that will explain her behavior. Please pray for this and the people that it effects. God bless to all that have come forward,,JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL FOR STACEY.

While it would likely lead to traffic tickets and higher insurance costs maybe we should get some bumper stickers made with the website name on them?
Not everyone in Pitt Co. knows about this as I just found out tonight.
September 5th, 2007 at 12:05 am
Now thats a great idea Murphy!!! Bumper stickers, more posters sounds good!
You are right there are some people that still does not really know about this civil
suit and the reason behind it. Could you check out how and where we could get
some bumperstickers made, lookin to hear back from you, thanks
