Have you heard back????????

The following is a comment that we have decided to make a post so more people will see it:

The following email was sent to North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper today:

ATTENTION: North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper

Please go to this site and read everything, including comments, and view the videos.

When is someone outside Pitt County going to look into this? Outside intervention is desperately needed.

Stacey Pollard’s mother, Barbara, and his sisters and their families are good, law-abiding North Carolina citizens. Why must this grieving family continue to be victimized by unethical law-enforcement personnel and unanswered questions concerning the death of their loved one? How can this nightmare be happening in North Carolina?

This story is not being reported by local (Pitt County) news media; why not? It has been forwarded to national media by many people who feel that justice will not be done if the story doesn’t receive national attention. So many of us admire Attorney General Roy Cooper and hope the national media will be able to report that he cares enough about the average NC citizen to look into this matter. We want him to retain the respect that he earned with his correct decisions in the Duke LaCrosse/Nifong case.

The NC Department of Justice (which includes the SBI) website states: “The State Bureau of Investigation works with local law enforcement to investigate crimes. The North Carolina Justice Academy provides training for local law enforcement officers. The Department of Justice also oversees standards for officers through the Sheriffs’ Standards Training Commission and the Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.” Are there standards in place for the Pitt County Sheriff and his sworn officers? If so, PLEASE tell us why Mac Manning and Michelle Pollard are not on leave until a thorough investigation is conducted (and not by the fox who is watching the henhouse)? There are too many unanswered questions (and questionable answers) for them to still be in office. They cannot be effective law enforcement officers.

PLEASE, PLEASE give us some direction of a course to take.

A North Carolina Citizen and Voter [THE END]

We know that the FBI, NC Attorney General, NC Sheriffs Standards and Training, and the Civil Rights Enforcement Division of the US Dept of Justice have all been contacted. We would like to know if you have heard back from them. Also, the Pitt Co. Bd of County Commissioners is having a closed door session this Monday night that may involve the Sheriff. If it is about this case, it behooves us all to let our county representatives know our position about the Sheriffs Dept.

It is my understanding that the case will be brought up at the Monday night closed door session of the Pitt Co. Bd of County Commissioners. Let us all pray for wisdom and courage for all our elected representatives at this pivotal time. Our whole legal system is based upon God’s law as handed down to Moses. How can our legal system produce justice when those who are administering it in our sheriff’s office have lost their moral compass? Not one of us is perfect and all are entitled to forgiveness, but first there must be repentance and remorse. When instead there is denial and arrogance action must be taken. At first one should go and if that does’t work a group should go. If that doesn’t work expulsion is the only remedy left — at least that was what I was taught when I grew up. I find that it still works.

  2. A North Carolina Citizen and Voter Says:

No, I haven’t heard from this email, nor have I heard from the one that I sent to each Pitt County commissioner this week. It’s still early to get a response. Perhaps our emails will, at least, get our good lawmakers to take some action.

  3. j e Says:

Lets pray that in this closed session that christ will touch hearts an the truth an nothing but the truth will be told no more lies. An lets put truth an honest an justice back in the Pitt County Sherffs dept

  4. David Says:

Have just heard back from Sheriffs Training and Standards about both Mac and Michelle Pollard. As to Michelle they say as long as the SBI is investigating and possible criminal issues remain, they will wait before becoming involved. As for Mac they say he is an elected official and we need to go to the DA about his behavior. I believe they are referring to the statute that says the sheriff can be removed upon petition and that the DA has a duty to pursue it.

  5. j e Says:

lets do it i dont thank we will have a problem I may have about 20 people that will signe it. How do you expect workers to do ther job when a boss cannot do his an not tell the truth. Its not right. People lives in County of Pitt county needs better. truth an get the merral back up. God bless an with his grace we can get justace .

  6. M,E, Says:

After reading over everything an the case law you have posted .We have them grounds an you our County Attorney needs to go too she puts Mac on his pedistle. let us know if you wont to start this petition be happy to help carry it around I subport this couse 150%

  7. Pitt County Citizen and Voter Says:

David, I have read that District Attorney Clark Everett and Sheriff Mac Manning are related. If this is true, what motivation does the DA have for having the Sheriff removed from office?

Is the SBI still investigating this case? Is the FBI investigating it, also? If so, shouldn’t the parties who are being investigated for possible criminal conduct be on leave until the investigation is completed? I thought that was standard practice.

You state that the sheriff can be removed upon petition. Who needs to start the petition and what is the total procedure for getting this done? It appears to me that Pitt County citizens will have to take action as other agencies seem to not want to. The Pollard family needs and deserves support from somewhere.

  8. Brenda Says:

Okay ME, JE and Pitt County Citizen and Voter, let call the shots. Let contact the lawyer in his office and begin the process. Let ask him for a meeting and posted the meeting place on this site and let get it together to have him Mac removed from office. Then MP needs to be let go also or at least put on leave WITHOUT PAY until this investigation is over, thenm we want have to worry about what will happen. JUSTICE will be served. Who will call and start the meeting. What are we waiting on. Can we do this Mr. Sutton?

  9. Pitt County Citizen and Voter Says:

David, have you heard anything about Monday night’s County Commissioners’ meeting?

  10. David Says:

Sorry I have been away. From what I understand, the Sheriff was advised not to go to the meeting and sent his lawyer instead. Mac’s lawyers are convinced that the case against the Sheriffs Dept. will be dismissed. Well I am not so sure about that. However, they aren’t even denying the allegations. They are just saying that even if Michelle killed her husband and the PCSO covered it up _ that doesn’t violate the U.S. Const.
To answer Brenda, it only takes 5 signatures on a petition to start the process to remove the Sheriff.

  11. Lisa Says:

David tell us where to get the petition and the 100’s of signatures will begin!!
And of course the lawyers for the sheriff would think that being a liar is okay,
since you cannot work under him if you tell the truth!!! Also they are, i’m sorry
pussies anyway. If they had half the balls David Sutton had they would want
answers and justice served also! Sorry, but i can not understand why raleigh
and even other states can see that there is something terrible going on in
our pcsd and our own D.A.”s, commissioners and other elected officals can not!
The saying Money walks and bull**** talks is very true here, but this time
the people will talk and the money will walk!! Justice will be served not only for stacey but also the good citizens of Pitt County! This is the hottest subject on reflector.com every time a topic with justice4stacey or Mac Manning is mentioned. Whether supporters or not this tells me that the message is getting around!! Also each day i see a new reader comment that they are in agreement that something should be done about this. To B.pollard and family just continue to hold on alittle longer because answers will be answered and justice for stacey and the citizens of pitt county will be done.

  12. Justice Says:

Lisa, you are understandably upset but calling everyone that works under Mac Manning pussies and liars is disgusting. You are wrong and even though you want justice, degarding yourself by using that language and calling people inappropriate names isnt going to get you anywhere. Your message actually sounds like things that Michelle would say. Dont do that to yourself or justice4stacey. I dont understnad why all of this has happened either but keep in mind…..THE SUN DOESNT SHINE ON THE SAME DOGS ASS EVERYDAY. And whomever is responsible for what happened to Stacey will be brought to justice. Whether it be here on earth or where it all really counts…in front of God. Hang in there Lisa…things will get better and the ones that are smiling now, wont neccessarily be the ones smiling in the end.

  13. Lisa Says:

Sorry justice ,but i was not stating that there is not any good officers
that still work at pcsd, just the good ones — are the ones that are gettin
suspended!! What’s wrong with that? Another thing is that i use to work
under the sheriff as a detention officer and believe me there are some major
cleaning up that needs to be done… its not fair to the officers that uphold
good moral character and do their jobs and to the citizens of pitt county
to have to be exposed to this type of behavior from any deputy.
I’m sorry if i offended you and just know that i know God ’s will –will be
    done in the end!!!

  14. Murphy Says:

As crazy as it sounds maybe someone should contact Nancy Grace of CNN Headline News etc?

  15. Justice Says:

I already have contacted Nancy Grace of CNN Headline News. I gave her associates this website, and they emailed me asking for more details. It would definitely help if more people would ask her to look into this. Please email her asking for coverage in this very important matter.

  16. Murphy Says:

Good job Justice. Hopefully multiple contacts will get theri attention.

  17. Sharon Roberson Says:

Everyone who can, should email, write, call, etc. the County Commissioners, Roy Cooper, and Nancy Grace. What is going on in the Pitt County Sheriff’s Department is a disgrace. There are a lot of very good law enforcement officers out there working hard and they don’t deserve to have to work for a Sheriff who condones this kind of behavior. And this case needs to be and should have already been investigated outside the office. Manning should have immediately removed her from duty and stepped away from the sitiuation and let outside help investigate. My hope is that Stacey gets justice and that his family will have some peace. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
