WE NEED YOU!

The events that have occurred during this past week have shed a LITTLE light on what Stacey’s family and friends have been forced to tolerate for years. Be assured what you may have seen or heard this week is only a fraction of what so many have fought to keep from you. There is more, yes much more.
It is true we closely follow the public comment sections provided by local television and newspaper websites. We often find information we would never be aware of without these valuable outlets. We encourage any of you to provide us with information just as you have the media websites. Your information and opionions are VITAL to our search for the answers to questions related to Stacey’s death. Your information will NOT be posted if you request it. If you are not comfortable with providing information to this website, regardless of how insignificant you think it may be, PLEASE contact our families attorney, David C. Sutton at (252) 756-7124. You can leave your contact information OR any tip you would like brought to our attention at his office if you desire. Your call will be returned and you can remain anonymous if you choose. Please don’t let the flow of information we have seen this week stop and remember, WE NEED YOU!
Lastly, in the near future we promise to post additional information we have obtained that will leave you speachless and shaking your head. This information has not been revealed to date because we have been asked and have agreed to keep this information confidential for a brief period. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

UPDATE: Folks, the response is most appreciated and we will be posting your thoughts and observations this weekend. Keep ‘em coming.

Thank you for restarting this forum. I hope that you all can find the justice you seek. This has been a long time coming and the people need to know the injustice that has been done to your family and most likely other members of the community. I am convinced Mac Manning thought that he was untouchable and Michelle Pollard thought that she was covered by his cloak of untouchability but I guess the time has come that that cloak is useless. Manning has covered Pollard way too long and the public needs to know. People have lost their faith in this administration so it is definitely a need for a new one. Good luck in your quest for justice.

From my understanding the trial will start Aug. 17 for the suit filed against Michelle, my question is can the supporters for Stacey come to it???
I have been a supporter of this website and Stacey’s family since it all began, and you all are in my prayers! Also is it true that the judge that will be hearing her appeal is the daughter of Mark Owens, one of the commissioners here in Pitt County?? The judge who hears this should not be associated with anyone in Pitt County. My prayers are also with David, a man with convictions and the burning desire to see justice unfold. Thankfully he has stood and fought the long hard battle for Stacey and his family.
    Sincerely

Lisa, It is unclear when the trial will start now. It was scheduled for August until her attorney requested delaying the trial. Not sure what the new date will be or if we’ll go with the originally scheduled August date. Once the trial finally begins your presence would be not only allowable but greatly appreciated.
We have also been informed the Administrative Judge assigned to hear Michelle’s appeal is Pitt County Commissioner Mark Owens’ daughter. We agree with your opinion of her being a NON-OPTION for hearing this appeal. We’ll have more on that later!
Thanks for your unwavering support and prayers.

I just sent an email to “48Hours Mystery” with the hope that with the new developments it might entice them to help investigate further into the case. I think something has to be done to stop Michelle from causing havoc to the family. There has to be JUSTICE for Stacey…one way or the other….and hopefully that isn’t too much further into the future. The family is always in my prayers and has my undying support.

Note: Many people would like to beleive there should never have been or never should be investigations into Stacey’s death. Rest assured we and others are not in that category and as a matter of fact, we have had some very interesting conversations with tipsters, stand by. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers!!!

Emily here….. How is she able to be out at Pirates Pub without a job? Will she recieve any money from the county? Has her certifiation been revoked or not? Does the county have penision and will she recieve it? I just don’t understand it but the old saying is give them enough rope and they will hang their own self. Well enough alone.

Emily, We’d be scared to venture a guess on how she does it. Pitt County participates in a retirement system similar to that of the state of NC…….yeah, that’s right, the people of Pitt County have helped fund her retirement fund these last three years. Sad isn’t it. As to her license, we understand she has received notification her license will be suspended although she has appealed this finding. Her appeal is scheduled in Halifax before Judge Melissa Owens Lassiter who happens to be County Commissioner Mark Owens daughter. What are the odds of that? We are absolutely stunned by this development. Hopefully, Judge Lassiter will see how this appears and do the proper thing……….RECUSE HERSELF FROM THIS HEARING!!!!!!!!!!

I am so thankful that the Sheriff’s Education and training standard commission took some action! Does anyone know if we can email or send letters to the commission to express our concerns as citizens and our thanks for looking into this??
Also, who could we contact in concern about Judge Lassiter hearing this appeal? Who is the one who appointed her to this appeal?

Reply: Lisa, you will need to contact the Sheriff’s Standards and Training Commission to voice your conerns. They have an easily accessible website, (just google NC Sheriff’s Standards and Training Commission), that will give you phone numbers, mailing addresses, etc. I would encourage you to share your concerns with them verbally and especially in WRITING. The NC Office of Administrative Hearings also has a website with all the contact information. Again, please feel free to share your concerns with them verbally and especially in WRITING.
As to who appoints the judges, I was told by the NCOAH she was assigned the case because it was her region. Apparently, they are uneducated as to the situations and those involved or they unbelievably see no conflict of interest. Let’s hope it is the first possibility and she will soon recuse herself. Anything else would be UNACCEPTABLE.
THANKS for your help and support!
